Zendaya Named New Face of Material Girl

Actress and singer Zendaya Coleman is the new face of the Material Girl collection. The collection from Madonna and her daughter Lola is sold in Macy's stores. Zendaya is best known from Disney's Shake It Up series, which ran from 2010 to 2013. She was recently announced as the star of a Lifetime biopic about singer Aaliyah.
The new campaign was photographed on the Coney Island boardwalk. Zendaya poses next to some of the colorful rides in the park.
Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon said in a statement, "I love how Zendaya makes her own style rules to fit her personality - that's who Material Girl is all about, being yourself to the fullest."
Zendaya says in statement, "So excited to announce that I am the new Material Girl!! I can't believe that Madonna and Lola chose me!! (wait, that means they know who I am!!)."
