White House Fountain Dyed Green For St. Patrick's Day
Posted on March 17, 2009
The fountain at the White House was turned green today in honor of St. Patrick's Day. The Obama administration says this is a first for the White House grounds. The Obamas brought the green dye tradition with them from Chicago, where the Chicago River was dyed green to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.
We think it is a great and fun tradition to bring to D.C. from Chicago.
