Video: Tupperware Files for Bankruptcy Protection

Tupperware has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The company is nearly eighty years old but sales have been slowing lately for the food storage brand.
Tupperware blamed its financial struggles on a "challenging macroeconomic environment" in a press release.
Laurie Ann Goldman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tupperware, says in a statement, "Whether you are a dedicated member of our Tupperware team, sell, cook with, or simply love our Tupperware products, you are a part of our Tupperware family. We plan to continue serving our valued customers with the high-quality products they love and trust throughout this process."
The video from CBS Mornings shows how Tupperware's popularity exploded. There were even Tupperware parties. However, lately the brand has been facing increasing competition.
