Lego Group Celebrates 80th Birthday With Animated Film

The Lego Group created this short animated film, The Lego Story, to celebrate its 80th birthday. It tells the story of how Ole Kirk Christiansen decided to become a toy maker and launched a workshop to make and sell wooden toys.
Ole was a great toy maker, but he wasn't the best salesman. Ole came up with the name Lego before he came up with the Lego brick. The young company also had to survive two workshop fires.
