Minnesota Family Builds a Snow Dinosaur

Posted on February 13, 2017

The best part about the snow is you get to build things out of it. Usually people will make a snowman but a family in Oronoco, Minneosta had a different idea. They constructed a snow stegosaurus after a 6-inch plus snowfall.

The snow dinosaur measures 10 feet tall and 20 feet long. ABC 6 News reports that the family spent five hours building it. It was meant to be a substitute for a pet iguana.

Mike Zempel, the father of three sons, told ABC 6, "This little man loves iguanas and has been talking about them the last several days. and we thought this would be a good substitute instead of actually getting an iguana."

It sounds like a great substitute to us although it will melt unlike a real iguana.
