Video: SNL Pokes Fun at Fast Fashion with Xiemu Skit

Saturday Night Live poked fun at online fast fashion brands in a funny skit. The skit for a brand named Xiemu (pronounced Shemu) mocks both the quality of the clothing and how the products are manufactured.
The ad stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Chloe Fineman, Ego Nwodium and Marcello Hernandez. They each play young people modeling the clothing.
The SNL faux ad directly targets cheap fast fashion clothing from China. Ego asks "How so cheap?" and the voice says, "Don't worry about it."
The spokesperson also keeps saying things like "all workers paid, "no prisoners involved" and "not made with forced labor."
The skit also shows the clothing and footwear falling apart.
