Six Inc. to Launch Speaker That Displays the Lyrics for Songs

Six Inc. has announced the upcoming launch of its Lyric Speaker. The speaker automatically displays the lyrics of the song that is being played. The lyrics are displayed as motion graphics.
Lyric Speaker won the Best Bootstrap Company award in the 2015 SXSW (South by Southwest) Accelerator competition. Six signed an exclusive distribution agreement in Japan with Isetan Mitsukoshi Ltd. Pre-orders for the device will begin in June. The company is still looking for distribution partners in the U.S.
Jin Saito, Creative Director of Six, says in a statement, "Amid the rapid digitization of the music industry, not many people will think much about the lyrics booklet that came with the cover sleeve of a physical CD or the purpose it served. The Lyric Speaker is an Internet of Things speaker that brings back the utility of a lyrics booklet but takes it to the next level using technology and stunning visuals."
The video shows the >Lyric Speakerin action. It shows the Japanese version of the speaker so the lyrics are being displayed in Japanese.
