Coat Wearing Monkey Shocks IKEA Shoppers
Posted on December 11, 2012
Shoppers at the IKEA store in Toronto were shocked to see a coat wearing monkey in the store. Some people originally thought the monkey was a toy, but it was a real monkey.
The five-month old monkey is going to be transferred to a primate sanctuary. Reuters reports that the monkey's owner, Yasmin Nakhuda, was fined for having the animal.
The name of the Rhesus macaque monkey is Darwin. Darwin looked a little frightened in the IKEA store all by himself, so hopefully he will get the good care he deserves at his new home in the primate sanctuary.
