Activision Blizzard to Offer Free Call of Duty in China

The Wall Street Journal reports Activision Blizzard is going to offer a free version of its hit Call of Duty game in China.

The game itself will be free, but Activision will attempt to monetize the game through micropayments for items like better weapons and special armor. The game is also likely an attempt to get Chinese gamers playing its franchise.
