Uniqlo Opens Two Flagship Stores in New York City

Uniqlo has opened two new flagship stores in Manhattan. The first store is located at 666 5th Avenue at 53rd Street and the second at 31 West 34th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. At 89,000 total square feet, the Uniqlo Fifth Avenue store (pictured above) will be the largest Uniqlo store in the world. The 34th Street store is 64,000 total square feet.

These two new locations are Uniqlo's second and third stores in the U.S. Uniqlo New York Fifth Avenue will officially open to the public on Friday, October 14th, followed one week later by Uniqlo New York 34th Street on Friday, October 21st. Uniqlo opened its first global flagship store in New York City's SoHo district in 2006.

Reuters reports that Uniqlo's goal is to have 200 sotres in the U.S. and $10 billion in U.S. sales by 2020. Worldwide there are 1,013 Uniqlo stores in 11 different countries, including flagships in Japan, China, France and United Kingdom.
