Luxottica and Tory Burch Cut Eyewear Deal

Italian eyewear maker Luxottica SpA has signed a deal with designer Tory Burch for a new sunglasses line. Luxottica expects revenues from the Tory Burch eyewear deal to reach the $30 million level.
Luxottica already designs sunglasses for many of the major fashion labels including Chanel, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and Prada. Luxottica also has its own house brands including Ray-Ban and Oakley (acquired in 2007). L.A. Times blog All the Rage says the Tory Burch frames are expected to debut in stores in fall 2009.
EssilorLuxottica and Tory Burch renewed the eyewear licensing agreement in 2021. Pierre-Yves Roussel, Chief Executive Officer of Tory Burch, said in the announcement, "Luxottica has been a great partner that shares our commitment to innovation in this important category. We are thrilled to be continuing our relationship and look forward to taking our designs to the next level."
