Top Halloween Costumes for 2023

The National Retail Federation has announced the Halloween spending is expected to reach $12.2 billion this year with participation exceeding pre-pandemic levels. The NRF also released its annual lists of popular Halloween costumes for children, pets and adults.
NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay said in the announcement, "More Americans than ever will be reaching into their wallets and spending a record amount of money to celebrate Halloween this year. Consumers will be shopping early for festive décor and other related items and retailers are prepared with the inventory to help customers and their families take part in this popular and fun tradition."
The costume data was based on a survey of 8,084 consumers conducted by Prosper Insights & Analytics. Spider-Man topped the children's list with 2.6 million kids planning to dress up as the Marvel hero. 2 million picked princess, 1.6 million will be a ghost and 1.4 million will be a witch. We see Wednesday Addams from the Netflix hit snuck in at #10.

For adults the top choice is witch followed by vampire, Barbie, Batman and cats.
Pets don't really have a say but their owners favorite choice is pumpkin. Pumpkin was followed by hot dog, bat, bumblebee and spider.
