Taylor Swift Talks Popstar Lifestyle, Dons Libertine Jacket in NME
Posted on October 17, 2015
Taylor Swift covers October 9 2015 issue of NME magazine. She's wearing a colorful print jacket and purple lipstick on the cover.
Taylor wore the jacket with a Milly Mesh Bralette and Tamara Mellon pumps. The jacket is a Libertine Japan Bomber Jacket according to a post by Taylor Swift Style. There is a similar looking style of jacket here from the Libertine Spring 2015 RTW show.
Here is the behind-the-scenes video from the NME shoot. Taylor's "Blank Space" single plays as she dances in the colorful Libertine jacket.
Taylor's status as the world's biggest popstar has her in the news daily and she talked about this nonstop coverage of her with NME. She says in the interview, "I'm in the news every single day for multiple different reasons. And it can feel, at times, if you let your anxiety get the better of you, like everybody's waiting for you to really mess up – and then you'll be done. A lot of the time I need to call my mom and talk for a really long time, just to remind myself of all the things that are great and all the things that matter. If you do something that defines your character to be not what the public thought you were, that's the biggest risk."
Taylor likes this life despite the rumors and wall-to-wall coverage of her life. She says, "In 10 years of touring and writing albums, and having my confessional songwriting misunderstood, misconstrued, paraphrased, investigated, I've never wavered. This is the way I want to live my life."
She also says, "Playing stadiums... walking down the street... I'd choose playing stadiums. It's a trade-off. There's no way to travel two roads at once. You pick one. And if you don't like the road you're on, you change direction. You don't sit there and go, 'Oh, I wish I could have all the good things in the world and none of the bad things.' It doesn't work like that."
Taylor also said something in the interview that may stress her fans. She told NME that she may take a break after the 1989 tour. She says, "I think I should take some time off. I think people might need a break from me. I'm going to... I don't know. Hang out with my friends. Write new music. Maybe not write new music. I don't know."
