Posted on March 6, 2016
TacoTime has launched a new menu offering for those who like heat. It is called the Ghost Pepper Coconut Shrimp Burrito. The item will be available now through April 26. TacoTime says it first tested the burrito last year.
Ghost peppers are known for being one of the world's hottest chillies. The burrito features crispy coconut shrimp, cabbage, green onions, pineapple salsa fresca and a spicy ghost pepper sauce. It comes wrapped in a warm flour tortilla.
Julie Hoefling, director of marketing for TacoTime, says in a statement, "If you like it hot, the Ghost Pepper Coconut Shrimp Burrito offers just the right amount of spice that's worthy of another bite. The sweet flavor of the coconut shrimp and the freshness of the pineapple salsa fresca round out the flavors perfectly. It's one of those items people will come back for."
An ad for the fiery burrito can be seen on iSpot.tv.
TacoTime is headquarted in Scottsdale, Arizona. The fast food Mexican franchise chain has about 400 locations in the U.S. and Canada.
