Taco Bell Breakfast Menu

Taco Bell has announced it will launch its Waffle Taco creation nationwide on March 27. The new Taco Bell Breakfast menu also includes the A.M. Crunchwrap and Cinnabon Delights.

The breakfast menu will also include existing items, such as the Breakfast Burrito and A.M. Grilled Taco. Taco Bell says the breakfast menu will be available from 7 am to 11 am.

The Waffle Taco is a waffle wrapped around a sausage patty or bacon with scrambled eggs and cheese. The Waffle Taco is served with a side of syrup. The A.M. Crunchwrap is scrambled eggs, hash brown, melted cheese and bacon wrapped up in a warm flour tortilla.

Taco Bell tested the Waffle Taco early last year before making the decision to offer it nationwide next month. Taco Bell 89-cent item was tested at three Taco Bell locations in Southern California. It consists of scrambled eggs and a sausage patty contained inside a waffle. It comes with a packet of syrup.

Time reported that Taco Bell plans to expand Waffle Tacos to all of its restaurants if the tests are a success. The L.A. Times reported that some consumers liked the waffle taco, particularly because of the price. The Waffle Taco looks far less appetizing in the photo the L.A. Times published.

BusinessWeek says the Waffle Taco - and the egg burritos and hash browns Taco Bell launched last year - is part of a major fast food battle for breakfast customers.
