Jakks Pacific to Launch Smurf Toys Inspired by Smurfs: The Lost Village

Jakks Pacific will introduce a new line of Smurfs toys. The toy are inspired by the new animated film, Smurfs: The Lost Village, which will be released on April 7, 2017. The toys are a collaboration with Leafig Belgium and Sony Pictures.

Craig Drobis, Vice President, Jakks Pacific, says in a statement, "To celebrate the launch of the Smurfs: The Lost Village inspired line of toys, Jakks has teamed up with several social media influencers across YouTube and Instagram for the ultimate social media campaign in which influencers will be provided with an assortment of products from the new Smurfs: The Lost Village line so they can share their love of these iconic characters with their fans."

The new Smurfy toy line will include figurines, playsets and plush toys. The talking toys will be two Talking Feature Plush toys for Smurfette and Clumsy. Other plush toys will be the 8-inch Bean Bag Plush and Jumo Basic Plush toys. There will also be the Smurfs and Animal Friends Assortment and Smurf Vehicle Packs. The Smurf Mushroom House playset with Brainy Smurf is pictured above. Prices will range from $3.49 to $24.99.

Update: The toy line is no longer being manufactured but the toys can still be found on eBay.

In the animated film, Smurfs: The Lost Village, Smurfette and her best friends embark on a journey after finding a mysterious map. They race through a Forbidden Forest filled with magical creatures to discover a hidden lost village before the evil wizard Gargamel. The film is directed by Kelly Asbury from a screenplay by Stacey Harman and Pamela Ribon.
