Photograph of Selena Gomez Drinking Coke is the Most-Liked Instagram Photograph

A photograph of Selena Gomez drinking a coke is the most-like photograph on Instagram. It has 4.5 million likes and has passed the previous most-liked photograph which also featured Selena and her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.
The photograph was taken by fashion photographer Guy Aroch. Selena uploaded it on Instagram.
Selena is fast approaching 90 million followers on her Instagram account, @selenagomez. She has many photographs that garner millions of likes as well as videos that garner millions of views.
Selena is wearing a red tank top and sipping a coke through a straw in the most-liked photo. The bottle has the words "You're the spark" on it which are lyrics from Selena's song, "Me & The Rhythm." Selena says in her post, "when your lyrics are on the bottle."
As Forbes notes, the photograph receiving lots of likes and views is a big win for Coke as well as Selena. Coke cut a licensing deal to put lyrics from major artists on its beverage bottles.
James Sommerville, Coke's VP of global design, says in a statement, "When we compose a shot like this, it feels real and authentic as well as complementary to the symmetrical Coke bottle. Guy is a master at capturing these natural moments with amazing beauty and simplicity."
Coca-Cola also used lyrics from Selena's hit, "Love You Like a Love Song," on Coca-Cola packaging. Tracks from over 70 songs are included in its "Share a Coke and a Song" campaign that runs this summer.
Update: Selena held her most-liked lead for almost a year until being passed by Beyonce.
