Sarah Palin's Naughty Monkey Shoes Up for Auction on eBay

Posted on January 26, 2009

Someone claiming to be a niece of Sarah Palin has put the Alaskan Governor's red Naughty Monkey shoes up for sale on eBay. The listing describes getting the shoes from "Aunt Sarah." We wonder what Aunt Sarah thinks about the shoes now being up for sale on eBay.

The auction listing says, "I got the shoes from Aunt Sarah after mentioning that I liked them. They dont fit to well, so I decided to let someone else enjoy them. These are the exact heels that made headlines. If you search 'Sarah Palin's Red Shoes' on a serach engine, you will find multiple blogs, articles, and stories on these shoes. You could own a piece of history!!!"

The auction says the winning bidder will receive the red heels size 7.5, 2 autographed photos of Sarah Palin in the heels and a Sharpe used by Sarah Palin when she was on the campaign trail.

They are said to be the actual shoes Sarah Palin wore on the campaign trail and they do look worn. The seller says the shoes were purchased by Sarah Palin herself and not by the GOP. The GOP's donated clothes are still mouldering in trash bags. The current high bid for Sarah'a Naughty Monkeys is $1,200 after ten bids.

Update: The Christian Science Monitor reports that a bidder won Sarah's shoes with a bid of $2,025. Sarah Palin's niece is noting that her aunt paid for the shoes and not the RNC.
