Atari and Roam to Develop Co-Branded Earphones and Headphones

Atari and Roam have announced plans to develop a co-branded line of headphones and earphones based on Atari's iconic brand and logo. These will be targeted at gamers. Atari has become a shareholder in Roam as part of the deal.

Roam CEO Steven Lamar says in a statement, "I've been a fan of Atari my entire life. Collaborating with such an iconic brand is a dream come true. Together, we're going to bring a fresh, fun and creative audio experience to generations of Atari fans."

Atari CEO Fred Chesnais says, "Roam is transforming the way people experience music. We are excited to partner with them because of their dedication to the art of sound and passion for delivering to users a quality product that will powerfully change the way they listen to music."

Roam makes earphones under the brand name of Ropes. They shared a teaser of the first Roam/Atari prototype on Kickstarter.
