Rapper Barbie Arrives Early on the Hip Hop Scene

Rappin' Rockin' Barbie was fairly early on the hip hop scene. The doll was released in 1992, well before nearly every pop song had a rap in the middle of it. The doll came with a working pink boombox that plays a hip hop sound. Barbie wears a black and pink ensemble and accessories with a gold chain, green socks and pink shoes.
A commercial was released to promte Rapper Barbie, which included a rap in it. The girls in the commercial says, "This Barbie's cool from her head to her toes, because she's got the most happenin' clothes." Take a look:
