Zendaya to be Honored with Barbie Inspired by Her Oscars Look

Mattel is honoring Zendaya with a unique Barbie doll created in her likeness. Zendaya is being honored for encouraging girls to "raise their voices." She will be presented with the doll at the Rock 'N Royal Benefit Concert on September 26.
The Zendaya Barbie will wear her Vivienne Westwood gown and dreadlocks from the 2015 Oscars red carpet (pictured below). Zendaya is hosting the Barbie Rock 'N Royals event. It will feature up-and-coming musical and dance acts as well as a rock star zone where kids can play instruments, including guitars, drums, trumpets.
Zendaya says in a statement, "I'm excited to be a part of the new direction the Barbie brand is headed, specifically how they are celebrating diversity in the line and encouraging kids to raise their voices. It's a positive message to send to my fans, including my nieces who are coming with me to the concert."
Update: Zendaya hared a photo on Instagram of her holding her Barbie doll. She appeared at a press event to unveil her Barbie.
Zendaya has had a busy year. She stars in the Disney series, K.C. Undercover and has been filming a movie called Duck Duck Goose. She appeared in Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" music video. She is rumored to be working on a new album that includes a song called "Close Up." She also launched her own shoe line, called Daya. Now she will be getting her own Barbie doll.
