Posted on February 14, 2016
Taco Bell introduced its latest menu item, the Quesalupa, with a Super Bowl 50 campaign. The item arrived in Taco Bell locations on February 8th.
The Quesalupa has a pepper jack cheese backed into its Chalupa shell. The inside contains cheese, beef, lettuce, tomato and reduced fat sour cream. Taco Bell also lets you customize the Quesalupa with jalapeno peppers, guacamole, black beans, avocado ranch sauce, bacon and other items. Each Quesalupa without customized additions has 460 calories and 38 grams of carbohydrates.
Marisa Thalberg, CMO for Taco Bell Corp, says in a statement, "In true 'Live Mas' style, over tens of thousands of fans played along by blindly reserving our latest creation, and got the chance to try it before it was revealed during Super Bowl 50. The energy and excitement surrounding our pre-order and today's reveal is just the beginning for us – stay tuned in the coming days and weeks for more!"
