Sharper Image Launches Levitating Light Bulb

Sharper Image has introduced a Levitating Light Bulb. It uses strong magnets to keep the base of the light bulb slightly above the platform. A similar concept is used in some levitating speakers.

The Levitating Light Bulb features a wood tone base. The light bulb resembles a vintage bulb but the filaments are actually ribbons of LEDs. It plugs into an AC outlet. It can be used as an accent light or night light. Here is a video of the floating light in action:
