Seal Shield Launches Dishwasher Safe Keyboards

Germaphobes are going to love this. A company named Seal Shield has launched keyboard and mice products that can safely be put in the dishwasher. Seal Shield says its keyboards and mice can go straight from the desktop to the dishwasher and back again. There are no wires to disconnect, and no need to remove batteries for cleaning.
There have been plenty of studies about how dirty keyboards can get including one study - see BBC News - that found keyboards are dirtier than a toilet and full of germs including bacteria like E.coli and staphylococcus aureus that can cause food poisoning.
Microbiologist Dr. Peter Wilson told the BBC, "If you look at what grows on computer keyboards, and hospitals are worse, believe it or not, it's more or less a reflection of what's in your nose and in your gut."
You can find more about Seal Shield's products on sealshield.com. Staples carries several versions of the keyboards on staples.com.
