Royal Mint Launching Emoji Collection

The Royal Mint will be releasing an emoji coin collection according to an article in The Sun. The poop emoji coin is pictured above. Other emojis used in the collection include a peach, a heart, a flame, an aubergine (eggplant) and the crying with laughter smiley.

The Sun quotes coin expert Penny Silver as saying, "What with Brexit, Royal Mint must have decided everyone could use some light relief.Emojis are a great way to communicate and express ourselves, so it makes sense to mark this with a coin collection."

Emojis would make for very tacky national currency. We do not need a 50p poop coin. Fortunately, this is an April Fool's story.
