Tamagotchi to Return in November with Mini Tamagotchi

Tamagotchi is planning a comeback. Bandai America have created a smaller version of the 90s toy. The toy has the familiar egg shape and pixelated LCD of the original.

There will be different shell designs. Each one includes a different character. The packaging will resemble the original Tamagotchi packaging.

Tara Badie, marketing director for Bandai America, says in a statement, "For many Generation X kids, the Tamagotchi device can be considered s first and favorite digital pet. The enduring power of Tamagotchi is its clear expression that nurturing and love never goes out of style. s such an honor to bring back one of the most beloved toys in a way that captures the magic and joy of a generation while embracing the sensibilities of new generations."

The mini Tamagotchi devices will arrive on toy store shelves on November 5.
