Doritos Launches New HeatWave Chips

PepsiCo Frito-Lay is launching a new limited-edition Doritos variety. The flavor is called HeatWave. Doritos says it is the first Doritos snack to offer two flavors is one. Frito-Lay says it starts off sweet and smoky and then deliver a fiery heat flavor. The chips will be available in BBQ and Chipotle Cream flavors.
Frito-Lay first delivered the chips to Duluth, Minnesota, which started off the Memorial Day on the cold side. Doritos HeatWave is available in 9.25oz bags for $4.29 and 3oz bags for $1.69.
Ryan Matiyow, senior director of marketing, Frito-Lay North America, says in the announcement, "With summer on the horizon, people are getting the coolers out, dusting off their grills and pulling off pool covers. But, Duluth's holiday weekend plans were dampened by cold weather. To warm things up, tomorrow we will literally drop Doritos HeatWave chips on Duluth, a city in need of some heat."
