BallerYoga Launches Premium Football Leather Yoga Mats

BallerYoga has launched a line of premium full-grain leather yoga mats. The mats are made at the same tannery as Wilson NFL footballs. BallerYoga says the mats outshine and outperform synthetic and rubber mats.

Baller Yoga was created by fitness competitor Cedric Yau. Yau says in a statement, "I was struck by the need to find the best yoga mat while on a 5-Star yoga retreat in Bali. The cheap yoga mats provided were frustratingly slippery. With spa services ranging from having an infinity pool to having more staff than guests, I couldn't believe the only detail missed by a luxury retreat center was the mats! What could be more important? Every day in meditation, I focused on the perfect mat. Grip horizontally along the ground is obvious. But grip alone isn't enough. A giant Post-It Note would just stick and become a crumpled mess—so you also need vertical release. I later realized football players had the same requirements when throwing and catching a ball. Since no one made football leather yoga mats, I set out to create one for myself. It just seemed like a fun concept-The Yoga Mat for Barney Stinson-Legendary! And, after both friends and classmates asked where I bought it, I decided to make football leather yoga mats available to everyone."
