Video: Ty Launches Cecil the Lion Beanie Baby

Ty has launched a Cecil the Lion Beanie Baby. The plush toy was created to honor the beloved African lion that was killed by a hunter on July 2, 2015.

Ty says it will donate 100% of profits from the sale of its Cecil Beanie Baby to WildCRU, the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit of University of Oxford in Oxford England. The lion was killed an American dentist who is now in hiding due to outrage from his illegal hunt and killing of the lion.

Ty founder Ty Warner says, "Hopefully, this special Beanie Baby will raise awareness for animal conservation and give comfort to all saddened by the loss of Cecil."
