Prince George Wears My 1st Years Robe to Meet the Obamas

Prince George wore a robe from My 1st Years to meet President Obama and Michelle Obama. The President and First Lady were attending a private dinner Kensington Palace as guests of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The adorable photograph of Prince George in his robe shaking President Obama's hand has viraled around the Internet. Prince George stayed up past his bedtime to meet the important guests.
The photograph was taken by White House photographer Pete Souza. It has been a surprise marketing boon for My 1st Years, the company that makes the robe. The monogrammed bathrobe quickly sold out according to CNN/Money.
My 1st Years co-founder Daniel Price told CNBC, "I was at dinner and saw 165 messages come through nearly at once, and our team just couldn't believe it. It was one of those moments, where you just couldn't write a better script."
My 1st Years is now calling the robe worn by Prince George as the Prince's Personalized Gingham Robe. It retails for £27, which is about $39 U.S.
Pete Souza recently tweeted about the photograph. He writes, "All everyone will remember from our trip is this photo, but check out all the others." The tweet contains to a link to The White House's Medium channel with many more great photographs from the trip.
