President Obama Criticized For Wearing Mom Jeans at All-Star Game

President Obama is being criticized for the mom jeans he was wearing when he threw out the first pitch at the All-star game. The unfashionable jeans are also being called dad jeans.
The President came out wearing a White Sox jacket and sneakers with the jeans. He threw a slow pitch from the pitcher's mound. It came in a little low but it was caught by St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols.
CNN's Jeanne Moos says everyone is playing "pants pundit" and critiquing the President's fashion style. Some people think the jeans are adorable while others think the jeans are awful.
Celebrity stylist Robert Verdi, a fan of Obama, did not like the President's pants selection at all. Verdi said the jeans are "terrible, there's nothing modern about them."
No matter how popular you are you cannot escape the fashion police. Here's a video of the first pitch from MLB:
Obama later said the criticism was unfair. Today reports that he told Ryan Seacrest has was "unfairly maligned."
You know, I have been unfairly maligned about my jeans. The truth is, generally, I look very sharp in jeans
There was one episode like four years ago in which I was wearing some loose jeans, mainly because I was out on the pitcher’s mound and I didn’t want to feel, you know, confined, while I was pitching. And I think I’ve paid my penance for that. I got whacked pretty good."
