Mouth Man Hoodie Shirts Form Animal Faces
Posted on September 7, 2009
A company named Mouth Man has launched a line of hoodie shirts that reveal animal faces when kids cross their arms. The idea is the braindchild of Ross Valory, the founder of the rock band Journey. Valory says in a release that he thought it would be cool "if there was a shirt with a graphic on the sleeves that would form a face with a mouth that would open and close when you put your arms together."
Valory says, "The idea originated many years ago while the band was on tour. I was visiting friends in Arizona, drinking coffee and hanging out when my friend's kids came tearing into the room doing something they referred to as the 'JAWS' -- arms crossed one over the other, elbows pointed front, opening and closing in a chopping fashion, punctuated of course, by monster noises. I thought it was really cute."
Twenty years later the incident germinated into the idea for these cool shirts with a graphic on the sleeves. Mouth Man's different styles of $24.99 hoodies include geckos, sharks, raptors, frogs, dogs, cobras, gators, tigers and orcas. There are also Simpson's hoodies. They look like they could also work as a Halloween costume.
We love their entertaining video. Mouth Man!
