Mindy Kaling Walks the Red Carpet at the 2016 Oscars

Mindy Kaling looked fabulous on the red carpet at the 88th Academy Awards. Mindy attended to support her film Inside Out, which won Best Animated Feature Film. Mindy wore a beautiful gown by Elizabeth Kennedy. The black column gown featured a dramatic cobalt silk cap sleeves that lengthened into a sweeping train in the back. Mindy wore her hair in an updo and accessorized with diamond earrings and sapphire drop earrings and a sapphire ring by Effy.
Mindy stopped to talk with E!'s Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet and their conversation was quite funny. He asked about her pre-show routine and she joked, "It only took me 15 minutes to get ready... I'm very low maintenance....No, I've been doing this for 72 hours." She talked about being offered the role of Disgust in the Pixar film Inside Out.
When Pixar called she said, "I was like, 'How dare you?! I'm going to call my attorneys. Pixar, you're done! ...They know I'm a little vain so they quickly explained that she's not disgusting, she's disgusted by everything around her." Ryan asked her if she really is vain. "I'm vain," she replied, "You know, I'm not like Maleficent or whatever, but I have my moments!"
