Carl's Jr. Launches Midnight Moonshine Burger

Carl's Jr. and Hardee's have introduced their new Midnight Moonshine Burger. The fast food chains partnered with Midnight Moon Moonshine to launch the new hamburger.
The new menu offering features a 100% Black Angus beef patty with Midnight Moon Moonshine glaze. It also includes pepper-Jack cheese, garlic-pepper onion straws and Applewood-smoked bacon. Prices for the burger start at $4.39.
Brad Haley, chief marketing officer for Carl's Jr. and Hardee's, says in the announcement, "We've done bourbon- and beer-flavored burgers and sandwiches before but the rapidly rising popularity of legalized moonshine led us to start playing around with it in our test kitchens. We loved the sweet burn you get when you put a moonshine-flavored glaze on a burger, and the addition of crispy garlic-pepper onion straws, spicy pepper-Jack cheese, Applewood-smoked bacon and fresh produce really took it over the top."
The company will run an ad for the burger called "Shine." It will feature an original song by country singer Jessie James Decker.
