2010 Golden Globes: Meryl Streep Wears Gown by Chris March

Project Runway's Chris March was thrilled to be asked to design Meryl Streep's evening gown for the Golden Globes Sunday night. Meryl looked amazing in the black gown which featured a belt and asymmetrical sleeves. She wore her hair in a classic updo with subtle eye makeup and crimson lips to really make the look pop.
People reports that March met Meryl through her hair and makeup team. Chris says, "I wanted to faint! I have always wanted to design something for someone like that, and it was a great and amazing opportunity."
Chris says he liked the "idea of putting a belt on an evening gown." He showed her a sketch of his idea and that was enough for her to decide on the dress. Chris says Meryl is "very friendly and welcoming."
We adore Meryl and think she looked stunning. Perhaps Chris will whip up another fabulous gown for Meryl to wear at the Oscars.
