Mariah Carey and Elizabeth Arden Announce Mariah Carey Dreams Fragrance
Posted on March 7, 2013
Singer Mariah Carey has partnered with Elizabeth Arden for a new fragrance, named Mariah Carey Dreams. Mariah says she loves the perfume process nearly as much as making music. She calls herself a "perfurmer in training."
Mariah said in a statement, "The process of developing a fragrance is exhilarating and it takes me to another place within my creative self, which is why I enjoyed creating Mariah Carey Dreams. I humbly call myself a 'perfumer in training' because I love it so much - almost as much as I love making music. I have the utmost respect for the perfumers because they have the ability to combine a few simple scents into a classic and exciting fragrance."
The fragrance contains top notes of caramel apple, star anise, bergamot and toasted almonds. The middle notes include honeysuckle, freesia and lily of the valley. The base is a blend of warm patchouli, Tonka bean and Madagascar vanilla grounds.
The bottle has butterflies (Mariah's favorite insect) entwined around the flute. The fragrance will be available in Kohl's in April 2013. An Eau de parfum/ 1.7 oz/50 ml will cost $49 and an Eau de parfum/ 1.0 oz/30 ml will retail for $39.
