Maria Menounos Covers Women's Health Magazine
Posted on June 29, 2013
Extra TV host Maria Menounos covers the July/August issue of Women's Health magazine. In the interview, Maria talks about losing weight, her nutrition mantra and her advice for taking a flattering photo.
On Which Was Harder: Losing the 40 Pounds or Keeping Them Off: "Losing the weight. You really have to stay focused. If you listen to your stomach when you're full and you stop eating, you aren't going to eat as much. So the weight stays off."
On Her Nutrition Mantra: "For me, it's about living and not obsessing. And really looking at diet as, How am I going to have the healthiest, strongest body? Every day, girls are like, 'Do I look fat?' I'm so over that question. Stop it. And don't obsess. When you want to eat something that's not healthy, eat it, enjoy it, and move on! That's what I do!"
On How to Take a Flattering Photo: "First, if you lean into it, your body will look disproportional, so stand up straight. Second, profile your body. Look into a mirror and know which way looks better. Third, if you leave [your arms] down, it all blends together. I always put my hand on my hip so you can see the shape of the dress."
Maria also provided five abs exercises for Women's Health. You can find her cover shoot video on womenshealthmag.com.
