MAC Cosmetics to Launch Star Trek Collection

MAC Cosmetics will be launching a Star Trek collection this summer. The collection celebrates the 50th anniversary of the hit science fiction television series. The collection will include 25 products.
The products are inspired by Seven of Nine, Deanna Troi, Uhura, and the Orion Girl, Vina from the Star Trek universe. The pieces will include lip, eye and face makeup products.
MAC creative director James Gager says in the announcement, "Star Trek is an iconic pop culture phenomenon whose storylines pushed gender and racial boundaries. For its 50th anniversary, we celebrate each of Star Trek's powerful women in a transcending, transformational makeup collection."
The MAC Star Trek collection will arrive online on August 25th and in stores on September 1. Those attending Comic-Con will have early access to buy the items. There will be a one-day pre-sale of the collection at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, July 21.
