USPS Releases Love in Bloom Forever Stamps
Posted on February 6, 2022
The U.S. Postal Service has released two new Love stamps just in time for Valentine's Day. The stamp dedication event was held at the historic village of Romeo, MI.
The stamps feature graphic illustrations of flowers inspired by old European folk art. The letters of "LOVE" are positioned in the center of the stamps among the decorative Bailey Sullivan illustrated and designed the stamps. Greg Breeding was art director.
Shavon Keys, the Postal Service's vice president of sales, served as dedicating official for the ceremony. Keys says in the announcement, "The joy I receive from flowers is similar to the joy I feel when I receive mail from a loved one. The Postal Service has successfully captured the delight and exuberance of love since its first stamp in the Love series, issued in 1973."
The new stamp continues the long-running Love stamp series from the U.S. Postal Service that began in 1973. Last year's stamp (pictured below) featured a colorful digital illustration.
