Lorde walked the red carpet at the 72 Annual Golden Globes. Lorde was nominated for Best Original Song for "Yellow Flicker Beat" from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 soundtrack. Lorde also curated the songs for the popular album.
The 18 year-old singer/songwriter looked simply amazing in a black pants suit by Narciso Rodriguez which featured a bare midriff. Lorde accessorized her look with a stunning 100-carat diamond and platinum diamond collar by Neil Lane and seven diamond rings.
The singer said on the red carpet in an interview with Ryan Seacrest that she didn't know how much the necklace was worth, but she was scared she would have to work for the jewelry company for the rest of her life if something happened to it. Lorde wore her hair straight in a side parted ponytail and had gorgeous, understated eye makeup. A crimson lip completed the elegant look.
Ryan Seacrest also asked Lorde about her friend Taylor Swift who said that Lorde "has the secrets of the universe." Lorde just laughed and said, "She thinks I'm wise, but I think she's wise."
She said she felt a lot of pressure curating the soundtrack album for the film. But she said that the fans are the same age as her and she just hoped they would enjoy the songs as they are into the same things. Lorde lost out to John Legend and rapper Common, who won for their song "Glory" from the film Selma.
Lorde was spotted later at a Golden Globes after-party wearing a white top with her black pants. She was photographed next to Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez.
