Lincoln Logs Celebrating 100th Birthday This Year

Posted on February 15, 2016

Lincoln Logs is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The log building toy was brought to the U.S. by K'Nex Brands last year in anticipation of the centennial.

Lincoln Logs were developed in 1916 by the son of American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The toys help kids develop fine motor and problem solving skills.

One of the recently launched sets is the 100th Anniversary Tin set (pictured above). Other 2016 sets in stores now include the Horseshoe Hill Station set, Country Meadow Cottage set and the Oak Creek Lodge set. There is also the Collector's Edition Village set. This large set contains over 332 pieces.

A new set called Forge Mill Cabin will arrive in stores this fall. It features 51 pieces and one frontiersman figure. The cabin has a blue-colored roof. The set will retail for $19.99.

The 100th Anniversary Tin set can be found on Amazon.com.
