World's largest OLED tunnel at IFA 2016

LG welcomed visitors to IFA 2016 with the world's largest OLED tunnel. The tunnel was 5 meters tall, 7.4 meters wide and 15 meters long. The tunnel consisted of 216 separate 55-inch curved OLED signage displays. The structure consisted of nearly half a billion pixels.

LG produced a video called "From Black to Black" to play inside the tunnel. It includes scenes from deep black space and the Northern Lights displayed against a black sky. LG used 14 separate 8K cameras to record footage of Iceland's Northern Lights.

Brian Kwon, president of LG Home Entertainment Company, says in a statement, "It was 50 years ago this year that LG produced its first television and our OLED Tunnel at IFA 2016 is designed to celebrate this milestone with another milestone - the coming of OLED TV. We're offering visitors to our booth at IFA the opportunity to experience OLED's revolutionary image rendering capability complete with perfect black, infinite contrast ratio and realistic colors from any angle."

Here is video footage of the OLED tunnel. Imagine if this tunnel was the entertainment system inside your home.
