Lady Gaga Wears Meat Dress on Vogue Hommes Japan
Updated July 23, 2025, originally posted on September 7, 2010
Lady Gaga wears a disgusting raw meat "dress" on the cover of the September issue of Vogue Hommes Japan. She even has a slip of meat for a hat. PETA is very upset by the dress. The cover was shot by photographer Terry Richardson. Of course it would be him.
Lady Gaga discussed the meat dress - and other better outfits - with British Vogue.
The Vogue Hommmes Japan meat dress is not an interesting meat dress, nor is it unique. For example, Jia Jam made a far more impressive meatwad dress using salami. In 1991, Jana Sterbak made a meat dress by stitching together 50 pounds of raw flank steaks. It was displayed on a hanger at the National Gallery in Ottawa, Canada according to Snopes. The raw meat thing is done. It's boring. It's over. If only Terry Richardson's career were also over. We love Gaga, but we certainly don't love this outfit.
Update 9-13-10: She just won't stop with the meat outfits. Lady Gaga wore a raw meat dress to the VMAs. Poor Cher had to hold Lady Gaga's revolting meat purse.
