There are reports out today about Jawbone ending certain product lines and/or seeking to sell them. There is a report that Jawbone has stopped producing its UP fitness trackers. The UP4 tracker is pictured. Reports also say the company is seeking a buyer for its portable speaker business.

Tech Insider reports that Jawbone has stopped manufacturing its UP fitness trackers and has sold its inventory to a third-party reseller. Jawbone says a source tells them it offloaded the inventory at a discount because it is needed the revenues.

There are also reports that Jawbone is trying to get out of the speaker business. Forbes reports that the company "has been pitching potential buyers for its Jambox wireless speaker business so it can focus exclusively on its health and wearables business."

Jawbone has not commented on the reports. Jawbone's speakers are called Jambox. Losing both speakers and fitness trackers would not leave the company with many products. In addition to speakers and fitness wearables the company also sells headsets and accessories from its website, jawbone.com. The Verge reports that Jawbone is developing a new wearable that "is supposed to offer clinical-grade health tracking related to heart monitoring." It looks like Jawbone might be ending Jambox and UP4 devices so it can focus all its energy on something new.
