In the new Pottermore website, the storyline from the novels will be brought to life with new illustrations and interactive features. Users navigate the site, starting with the first book. On entering, users choose a magic username. As users move through the chapters, they can read and share exclusive writing from J.K. Rowling. Users can also join Hogwarts, visit Diagon Alley, get sorted into a house, cast spells and mix potions to help their house compete for the House Cup.
The Pottermore website will launch in October, but a chance to enter early will be available starting July 31. The Harry Potter series will also be available in ebook format for the first time on Pottermore.
