Video: The History Behind's Disney's It's a Small World

Here is a historical look at Disney's "It's a Small World" ride. The video includes footage of Walt Disney explaining his original concept for the attraction. There's also video from the opening ceremony in 1966.
Girls from countries all over the world were invited to the opening. The video also shows how Imagineers weaved in references to Disney and Disney-Pixar characters with new costumes and modern enhancements to the exhibit. Take a look:
