Hot Wheels Builds One Mile Long World Record Track at Indy 500

Hot Wheels set up a world record track at the 2013 Indy 500. The track was one mile long. Over 1,000 pieces of custom Hot Wheels track made from about 6,000 pounds of aluminum were used. Four kids raced head-to-head at the event.

The kids were coached by racing legends Mario Andretti and John Andretti. The competitors raced with 1:64-scale Hot Wheels Chevy Camaros. The tiny Camaros reached a top speed of 9.07 mph on the track. Take a look:
