Giggle Inc. Acquires Right Start

Giggle, a baby products retailer, recently announced the acquisition of Right Start, a retailer for premium baby gear and products. The two companies will maintain their separate brands.
Giggle has seven stores in three states and Right Start has six stores in three states. California is the only state where each baby products retailer has stores.Giggle CEO Beth Guastella says in a statement, "The merger of two great, complimentary brands allows us to fully leverage the strengths of each company. This combination is a natural evolution for our businesses as we seek to expand our reach across the country to better serve our existing and new clients. Combining the power of each brand will create more opportunities for us that further the innovative, trend-forward, and effortless offerings that giggle and Right Start are known for."
Right Start is owned by Liberty Interactive. Giggle will be the majority owner of the combined business with Liberty Interactive maintaining a meaningful stake. Liberty purchased Right Start in 2009.
Giggle and Right Start both have online stores selling products in a variety of categories including gear, nursery, feeding, clothes and more. Both sites also operate baby registries.
