Emma Roberts Talks Boys and Journaling in Seventeen Magazine
Posted on April 17, 2011
Actress Emma Roberts (Scream 4) covers the May, 2011 issue of Seventeen magazine. Emma talked to Seventeen about writing, living on her own, parties and guys.
On Keeping a Journal: "I write, just to do it for me, because I know, when I'm older, I'll want to look back and know what was going on in my mind. I look back on journals that I had when I was 15, and it's so interesting to see that the things that I thought were the end of the world at 15, I barely remember now."
On Living On Her Own: "You don't realize how hard it is to live on your own. But there's no mom to do your laundry, and make you dinner and to do things for you, and you don't think about little things like buying paper towels and salt. So moving out was definitely a shock. But I still have sleepovers with my mom sometimes because I miss her so much."
On Parties: "I like to go to parties if I know who's going to be there, and if it's people I want to be with. I don't just go to go. And I always drive myself, because I hate being stuck places-there's nothing worse that going out and then being stuck!"
On Boys No Longer Chasing Girls: "Boys these days don't really pursue girls. I think they sit back and let girls come to them. And I don't understand how, if you have feelings for someone, you don't want to pursue her, and make her feel great about herself!"
