Dolly Parton has teamed up with the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store multiple times. The latest promotion is the second one to involve rocking chairs.
The new promotion has Dolly performing a "A Holly Jolly Christmas" at the 94th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Ten fans can win a a VIP Watch Party Package that includes a pink Dolly rocking chair and her new album, A Holly Dolly Christmas.
WATE 6 ABC has the details.
In 2009, the Cracker Barrel store exclusively carried Dolly's album, Backwoods Barbie - Collector's Edition, and sold a limited edition Dolly Parton pink rocker. Only 1,350 of the rockers were made. The Dolly rockers were priced at $199. An image of Dolly with her rocker can be found on The New Yorker.
Peter Keiser, Vice President of Marketing, said of the promotion, "The Rocking Chair has long been an icon for Cracker Barrel, so this is a great way to bring Cracker Barrel and Dolly Parton together. This is the first time we have created a special edition rocker in honor of a country music star. Ever since the news about this got out, we have been receiving phone calls and emails from guests who want to be on the top of the list to get their Dolly rocker."
